FAQ

who are you?

i’m webMaster rudolf dienstag. look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair.

what are user experiences?

a new type of web series i’m developing with a focus on interactivity. my ux site will be overhauled soon but you can read more about it here.

what is your art process?

somewhat like this:

  • sketch (usually analog)
  • render line art in clip studio paint
  • base color flats shadows highlights
  • color line art on clip mask
  • add textures and color correction filters

you can see some of my tools here.

how do i build a website?

you can build a very basic website with some simple html/css. nero’s quick ‘n’ dirty guide to making a website is the best place to start and my home page’s two-column design was inspired by sadgrl’s layout builder.

to take it further, consider using a static site generator like astro javascript or 11ty. both have a learning curve but astro especially is incredible at managing content heavy sites like mine. coding in public has a full astro blog tutorial on youtube.

i’ve put together some additional resources and free code here.

QUESTIONS TAGGED MY ART

[REDACTED] 03/05/2026

whoops i misused the guest book. but i’ll reiterate the general spirit of my question here: you still out there? And do you know of other indie websites that do transgressive and erotic art?

i appreciate you reaching out. i found your message in my guest book at a very vulnerable time wherein i had considered throwing in the towel on my web empire entirely. unfortunately i still have no way to contact you directly because the form did not send me your email, so i hope this finds you.

as for your questions:

i have not been active in creating the kind of illustrative art you are describing. i do not know when or if i will return to it and what that will look like. while i still appreciate and believe in it, it is not a priority at this stage of my life, so for now it will stay as it is to be re-integrated whenever that time comes. i can’t say for sure who is doing what i’m doing but you can check out my links page to find artists who may be creating art in a similar vein.

however, i have still been somewhat active as a webMaster. your first message inspired me to do some tune-ups on my site so i have been doing some housekeeping and am hoping to upload more of my older art over time. i am also currently collaborating on erocreativeresources, which is a website dedicated to supporting adult artists against online censorship. mind that this is all between a full-time job, a part-time job and freelance work, so updates will come when they come.

regarding freelance work, i am still open for illustration commissions should you be interested but i’ve been meaning to update my prices for quite some time, so i’d expect they be higher should you reach out. i am also interested in doing portfolio site commissions geared specifically towards adult artists sometime in the future, but i am still trying to sort out what that looks like in practice. in due time.

as always you are welcome to sign up for my newsletter where i send out updates as to what i’ve been up to. i had hoped to have 50 pieces uploaded to my art archive before announcing a full launch but we’ll see how that comes about. you are also welcome to send me another message using my ask box form with your email included if you’d like to chat directly.

you’ve done a great deal to pull me back from the ledge. i hope you are well and wish you the best.

What program do you use? Do you sketch traditionally and then you scan it? Love your art btw :)

thank you for your kind words most of my art starts as traditional sketches that i edit in clip studio paint at which point i just render them out into line work and add colors.

i should post some side-by-side comparisons of my concept sketches and finished pieces at some point. i have dysgraphia so without pen stabilization i have to work really fast and loose, and i think that captures a really good energy but i worry it gets lost in the rendering. i hope you are still able to feel them

When did you first start drawing kink art? :3

very very early. i was born freaky and experimented a lot with art growing up. most of it i didn’t really understand as sexual at the time, like little micro vore drawings on the chalkboard during lunch in grade school, but i distinctly remember figuring my shit out in mspaint between neopets games and drawing the shadow queen from paper mario ttyd with massive hooters. none of it was vanilla.
